This map marked a major milestone for us, serving as a key part of our console onboarding tutorials for Valorant’s first console release on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and Xbox Series S. The collaboration spanned across Riot LA, Riot Singapore, and Riot Sydney, with my amazing team at Kudos Productions helping to bring it all together. Together, we created the very first in-game Valorant-style home base room for agents, a central hub where players can connect to different training simulations.

It was a challenging but incredibly rewarding global development effort, and we’re beyond proud of the entire team for reaching this important milestone. The result is a tutorial system that’s tailored to guide our new players from various platforms, helping them learn and master Valorant on a gamepad. This was a fantastic journey, and we couldn’t be more grateful for the trust and opportunity to take on such a crucial task. We had an absolute blast working on it, and seeing players engage with this new feature has been truly satisfying. Thanks to everyone involved. This one was special!

It’s clear that each of these talented individuals has brought not just their skills, but also their passion and commitment to the project, which is ultimately what drives the success of any major release. Be sure to take a look at their profiles to appreciate the depth of expertise and dedication they’ve poured into making this vision a reality.

The shooting target for the console was designed to be intuitive, requiring no explanation. We developed color-coded states and holographic materialization effects to make the interaction clear. Content were created by my Art, FX and SFX team
